2BM Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a supplier of products for the oil and gas industry, to recruit a Maintenance Engineer / Fitter with mechanical bias for their Sheffield site on a permanent contract. The organisation, who are seeking a skilled and talented Maintenance Engineer to join their team have experience on a global scale, with innovation and investment into new technology.

 

  • Salary circa £34k - £38k (Depending on experience & skills)

  • Days only, Monday to Friday working 6am – 2.30pm

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ensure plant and equipment breakdowns are addressed in line with company standards and ensure planned maintenance schedules are adhered to and time frames met.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret equipment and plant layout drawings; mechanical and electrical.

  • Produce documentary evidence and carry out scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment ensuring that maintenance data records are accurately and promptly updated.

  • Respond to machine and plant equipment breakdowns, carryout necessary repairs and report the cause of breakdown.

We’re extremely keen to talk to experienced Mechanical or Electrical bias, or multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers, Technicians, Fitters or similar that have:

  • Traditional apprenticeship coupled with appropriate technical qualifications; City & Guilds / ONC / HNC in Electrical/ Mechanical Maintenance preferred.

  • Experience with machine tools and CNC controlled machines.

  • Ability to work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimum supervision.

  • Have good fault finding and problem-solving skills.
